Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device and a conveying method capable of sorting articles to be conveyed into the groups of articles to be conveyed while inhibiting the articles such as containers and the like from being deformed and capable of improving a conveying efficiency.SOLUTION: A conveying device 1 comprises a first conveyor 11 conveying a container 2 at a speed V1, a second conveyor 12 conveying the container 2 transferred from the first conveyor 11 at a speed V2 faster than the speed V1, a drive device 13 for changing the respective lengths of the first conveyor 11 and the second conveyor 12, a control device 15 for changing a speed change position X in which a moving speed of the container 2 is changed along a conveying direction D1 by giving a command to the drive device 13, and support parts A1, B1, A2, B2 which are inserted between the container 2 conveyed at the speed V2 and the container 2 conveyed at the speed V1 to support the container 2 conveyed at the speed V1 from a downstream side when moving back the speed change position X to a direction D2 opposite to the conveying direction D1 at a speed V3 faster than the speed V1 and the speed V2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
