Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the decrease of valve lift amount at the time of switching a cam for driving a valve.SOLUTION: A variable valve gear for an internal combustion engine includes: first and second cams 5A and 5B provided on a cam shaft 3; first and second locker arms which are provided so as to rotate about a locker shaft, and respectively abut on the first and second cams; a valve driven by the first locker arm; an engagement pin provided so as to be protruded and retracted on one of the first and second locker arms; and an engagement hole which is provided on the other of the first and second locker arms and with which the engagement pin can be engaged by insertion. A clearance is provided between the engagement pin and the engagement hole, and the first and second cams respectively have first and second cam nose portions 23A and 23B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
