Abstract:
To provide an image recognition system which specifies a commodity displayed in a store.SOLUTION: An image recognition system includes: a commodity tag specification processing unit which specifies a commodity tag area in image information including a display shelf where a commodity is displayed; and a commodity-tag information specification processing unit which executes OCR recognition on a part or all of the specified commodity tag area to specify information written on a commodity tag. The commodity tag specification processing unit specifies a commodity tag area by use of brightness information of the image information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
