Abstract:

To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of restraining deterioration of reception quality when changing over the broadcast station, by performing search operation according to the degree of change in the reception state of broadcast wave under reception.SOLUTION: A terrestrial digital broadcast receiver 100 includes a reception state discrimination unit 51 for acquiring a characteristic value indicating the reception state of a broadcast wave under reception, an integration unit 52 for calculating addition values corresponding to the finite difference of a reference value and the characteristic value when the acquired characteristic value goes below a prescribed reference value, and integrating the addition values calculated each time, while the characteristic value goes below the reference value, a search processing unit 53 performing search operation for detecting a second broadcast station different from the first broadcast station under reception of the broadcast wave, when the integration value goes above a prescribed threshold level, and a changeover control unit 54 for changing over the reception object when the second broadcast station is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
