Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of realizing reduction in the cost of manufacture.SOLUTION: In an image reading device 1, a movable member 60 is supported swingably around a rocking axis X60 extending in the width direction, and has an abutment part 67 displaceable between first and second positions. When viewed from a direction perpendicular to a pressing surface 51, the rocking axis X60 is located to overlap a pressing member 50. The movable member 60 includes an identification part 65, provided at a portion facing a reading part 3S of the movable member 60, and pivotable around the rocking axis X60 integrally with the abutment part 67. The identification part 65 can be read by the reading part 3S via an opening 53 provided in the pressing member 50, or at a position deviated in one width direction from one end of the pressing member 50 in the width direction, and is configured so that first reading results by the reading part 3S when the abutment part 67 is at the first position is different from second reading results by the reading part 3S when the abutment part 67 is at the second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
