PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex communication device, a multiplex communication system, and a work machine that can accurately detect abnormality on monitoring object wiring connected with a second data processing unit according to an operation state of the second data processing unit for processing second data.SOLUTION: An abnormality detection unit 41a included in a stationary side multiplex communication device 22 detects abnormality of a fourth wiring 64 on the basis of a time when encoder information EI from an amplifier unit 34 to a first connection unit 45 is not received.
