Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate sheet winding detection in which false detection is reduced compared with detection based on a temperature rise ratio.SOLUTION: A fixing device determines the presence/absence of winding of a sheet on the basis of the difference between a first temperature rise start time t1 of a heating roller heating a sheet measured by a first temperature sensor that is provided in a non-paper feed area and measures the temperature of the heating roller, and second temperature rise start times t2, t3 of the heating roller measured by a second temperature sensor that is provided in a paper feed area and measures the temperature of the heating roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
