Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery separator having a nonwoven fabric base and an inorganic particle layer, which is hard to cause a defect in the inorganic particle layer and low in internal resistance.SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery separator comprises: a nonwoven fabric base; an inorganic particle layer A having an average particle diameter of 2.0 μm or larger and 4.0 μm or smaller, and containing a magnesium hydroxide and an organic polymer binder; and an inorganic particle layer B having an average particle diameter of 0.5 μm or larger and smaller than 2.0 μm, and containing a magnesium hydroxide and an organic polymer binder, provided that the inorganic particle layers are laminated over one face of the nonwoven fabric base in this order. A content of the organic polymer binder in the inorganic particle layer A is larger than a content of the organic polymer binder in the inorganic particle layer B.SELECTED DRAWING: None
