Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enabling such performance compatibility that an excellent road holding performance on a wet road surface is secured while maintaining that on a dry road surface.SOLUTION: In an objective pneumatic tire, lug grooves 30 extending along a tire width direction are formed on a shoulder land part 21, and the inside end of the lug groove 30 in the tire width direction is ended in the shoulder land part 21. At least one vertical hole 40 separate from an outermost main groove 11 and the lug groove 30 is formed between the inside end of each lug groove 30 in the tire width direction, and the outermost main groove 11. Sipes 51 extending along the tire width direction across the vertical hole 40 and communicating with the outermost main groove 11 and the lug groove 30 are formed between the main groove 11 and the lug groove 30. Cavity parts H wider than the sipe 51 and extending along the sipe 51 are provided on the bottom of the sipe 51 or on a middle part in a depth direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
