Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zeolite having a novel structure and exhibiting reduction functionality of nitrogen oxide as a SCR catalyst with metal contained therein, and a process for producing zeolite.SOLUTION: There are provided zeolite, ZTS-5 which has X-ray diffraction pattern shown in figure 1 and a process for producing zeolite, ZTS-5, which comprises a crystallization step containing at least two quaternary ammonium cations represented by R1R2R3R4 N+ (each of R1, R2, R3, and R4 is any one of a methyl group, an ethyl group, and a propyl group) as a structure directing agent. Preferably, the zeolite is any one of crystalline aluminosilicate, crystalline silico-aluminophosphate, and crystalline aluminophosphate, more preferably, crystalline aluminosilicate. The zeolite has a mole ratio of silica to alumina of 5 to 50. The zeolite contains at least one of copper and iron.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
