PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which has both of a high discharge capacity and a high charge/discharge cycle performance; and a method of manufacturing the positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a lithium transition metal composite oxide.
