Abstract:
To provide a passenger conveyor capable of making users properly recognize messages related to the passenger conveyor regardless of the degree of congestion on the passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor comprises: a first speaker arranged in the neighborhood of an entrance of a footstep; a second speaker arranged in an intermediate position between the entrance and an exit of the footstep; and a third speaker arranged in the neighborhood of the exit of the footstep. A control device makes a first sound, a second sound, and a third sound output to the first speaker, the second speaker, and the third speaker at the timing to allow overlapping the output periods of the first sound, the second sound, and the third sound when the passenger conveyor is in a predetermined congested state with many users. The control device makes the first sound, the second sound, and the third sound output to the first speaker, the second speaker, and third speaker at the timing when the output periods of the first sound and the third sound do not overlap with the output period of the second sound when the passenger conveyor is not in the predetermined congested state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
