Abstract:
To enable a delay in the execution time of a data write request in a storage system for dividing data before storing to be prevented or reduced.SOLUTION: The present invention generates redundant data for error correction on the basis of original data that is the data to be requested for write to a storage medium, acquires partial data into which the original data and the redundant data are divided, and writes the partial data to the recording medium. A redundant data generation unit generates redundant data in which the loss of as many partial data as a loss permission count that is larger than a loss permission request count that is set as the number of partial data the loss of which is permitted in relation to the restoration of original data. A partial data acquisition unit acquires partial data into which the original data and the redundant data are divided by a number equal to the total of a necessary partial data count that is the number of partial data needed for the restoration of the original data plus the loss permission count.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
