Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient autonomous vacuum cleaner capable of designating an intrusion-prohibiting area using a visually recognizable sign without using a sign generating a signal by itself like a so-called virtual guard, and unnecessary to move a cleaner body every time when designating the area.SOLUTION: An autonomous vacuum cleaner 1 includes: a cleaner body 25 autonomously movable; a stereo camera part 39 installed on the cleaner body 25 to capture a parallax image; an image recognition part 46 capable of recognizing sign information predetermined by analyzing the parallax image; a storage part 48 storing inhibition area information 45 associated with the sign information and defining an inhibition area PA inhibiting intrusion of the cleaner body 25; and a control part 49 preventing the cleaner body 25 from intruding into the inhibition area PA according to the inhibition area information 45 to autonomously move the cleaner body 25 when the image recognition part 46 recognizes the sign information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
