Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To playback an image generated by using two video signals different in length of accumulation periods, which are outputted from a single imaging device, with high quality.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a pixel array including a pixel having a first photoelectric conversion section and a second photoelectric conversion section; a scanning section for driving the pixel so that intermediate time of an accumulation period of the first photoelectric conversion section is matched with that of an accumulation period of the second photoelectric conversion section; a reading section for reading a first video signal from the first photoelectric conversion section and reading a second video signal from the second photoelectric conversion section; and a generating section for generating an image by using the first video signal and the second video signal, whose intermediate times of the accumulation periods are matched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20
