Abstract:
This vehicle drive device (100) is provided with: a rotary electric machine (2) serving as a drive power source for a plurality of wheels (W1, W2); a speed reduction device (3) that reduces the speed of rotation transmitted from the rotary electric machine (2) side and transmits the result to the wheels (W1, W2) side; and a differential gear device (4) that distributes drive power from the rotary drive machine (2) to each of the plurality of wheels (W1, W2). The speed reduction device (3) comprises at least an input element (S31), an output element (C32), and non-rotating elements (R31, R32). The input element (S31) is drive coupled to the rotary electric machine (2), the output element (C32) is drive coupled to at least one of the plurality of wheels (W1, W2), the non-rotating elements (R31, R32) are supported by non-rotating members (15, 16), and a torque limiter (10) is provided between the non-rotating elements (R31, R32) and the non-rotating members (15, 16).
