Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier coating composition for laminate that makes it possible to obtain a barrier composite film for laminate having excellent gas barrier properties, laminate suitability, and seal strength, and a barrier composite film for laminate having a barrier layer obtained from the composition, as an intermediate layer.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a barrier coating composition for laminate that contains (A) component: a carbonyl group-modified polyvinyl alcohol, (B) component: an alkoxysilane hydrolysate with alkoxysilane hydrolysed, (C) component: a sulfonic acid group-containing polymer, and (D) component: a solvent. The (B) component is obtained by preparing a mixture in which the sulfonic acid group-containing polymer and alkoxysilane are mixed, and hydrolyzing the alkoxysilane in the mixture. The barrier coating composition satisfies the following formula 1. (formula 1) WC/WB=3.5/96.5-8.0/92.0 (where, WB is a content (mass) of the alkoxysilane in the mixture, WC is a content (mass) of the sulfonic acid group-containing polymer in the mixture).SELECTED DRAWING: None
