Abstract:
To provide a control device of an electric vehicle which can reduce a possibility that an engine cannot be started, and a vehicle becomes impossible to travel even if an abnormality is detected in a main battery when the charge of a sub-battery is in sufficient.SOLUTION: A control device of an electric vehicle is mounted to the electric vehicle having a main battery for supplying power to a traveling motor via an inverter, a sub-battery for supplying power to a starter for starting an engine, a stepdown converter for stepping down a voltage of the main battery, and supplying the power to the sub-battery, and a main relay for opening and closing a current passage between and among the main battery, the inverter and the stepdown converter. Then, the control device further comprises a start control part for starting the engine when an abnormality of the main battery is detected, and an auxiliary control part for stopping the stepdown converter once (t3) when the abnormality of the main battery is detected, and the main relay is switched to an open state (t1), and after that, restarts the stepdown converter (t4) when the starter is driven by the start control part (t6).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
