Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit occurrence of engagement shock and improve responsiveness of a single disc clutch.SOLUTION: A clutch is disposed within an input member to which a working fluid is supplied, connects the input member with an output member so that power is transmitted from the input member to the output member, and releases connection between the input member and the output member. The clutch includes: a piston which has a friction material, which is bonded to a surface facing the input member, and an oil passage, which is formed so as to be recessed from the surface of the friction material, and can move forward and rearward relative to the input member in an axial direction; an oil chamber which is defined in an axial gap between the input member and the piston and used to supply the working fluid to the interior of the input member; and an engagement oil chamber defining member which is disposed at the opposite side of the input member with respect to the piston and defines an engagement oil chamber, to which the working fluid is supplied, with the piston.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
