Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of image abnormality due to frame interpolation, when an office document including characters and diagrams is scrolled on a display screen.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus has a detector for detecting a motion vector from multiple frames contained in an inputted video, a determination part for determining the scene type based on the multiple frames, and a generation part for determining whether or not the motion vector is referred for generation of an interpolation frame, based on the scene type determined in the determination part, and generating an interpolation frame of the video. When the determination part determines that the scene type is a scroll scene where some or all screens move, the generation part generates one of the multiple frames as an interpolation frame, without referring to the motion vector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
