Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device which can further reduce the intrusion of foreign matters into an apparatus internal space.SOLUTION: A sealing device for sealing an apparatus internal space with a lubricant in the apparatus internal space comprises a first seal member 8 fixed to an inside member out of two members which relatively rotate, and a second seal member 10 which is fixed to an inner face of a hole 6 of an outside member out of the two members which relatively rotate, and with which the first seal member slidably contacts. The first seal member has a sleeve 12 fixed to the inside member, and a flange 14 which is integrally connected to an end part of the sleeve at an atmosphere side, and radially expands at the outside of the sleeve. The flange is arranged closer to the atmosphere side than the end part of the hole at the atmosphere side, has a diameter larger than that of the hole, and is overlapped on a portion of the outside member around the hole at the atmosphere side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
