Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a novel projection system capable of eliminating ambient light that varies depending on various factors in a projection system equipped with a projection device for projecting an image and a screen whereon the image is projected. [Solution] The projection device includes a light source and a light blocking component provided in extending fashion around the light source; the screen includes a plurality of optical elements that are arranged vertically and horizontally and change the traveling direction of beams output from the light source; the optical elements each direct the beams to different specific positions in a spectator region depending on the incidence position of the beams from the light source; and the light blocking component is configured so that what is reflected by the entire area of the optical elements, as viewed from any position within the spectator region, falls within the range of the light blocking component.
