Abstract:
To detect the abnormality of a voltage monitoring device while suppressing manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: An abnormality detector pertaining to one aspect of an embodiment detects the abnormality of a voltage monitoring device that includes a comparison unit for comparing a threshold and a block voltage and provided for each of a plurality of battery blocks of a battery pack, and a control unit for controlling the threshold. The abnormality detector comprises an acquisition unit, a determination unit, an output unit and a detection unit. The acquisition unit acquires a block voltage. The determination unit determines the threshold on the basis of the block voltage. The output unit outputs an indication signal that indicates the signal level of a duty signal to the control unit so that a duty signal corresponding to the threshold is outputted from an output terminal of the control unit. The detection unit detects the abnormality of the voltage monitoring device in accordance with the result of comparison by the comparison unit based on the threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
