Abstract:
To provide a stator and a rotary electric machine capable of achieving both reduction of pitch noise and improvement of cooling performance of a conductor segment joint.SOLUTION: A stator has a stator core 71 having a plurality of slots arranged in an annular shape and a plurality of conductor segments 30 inserted into each slot so as to be radially arranged side by side. An axial end of each conductor segment is joined to an axial end of another pair of conductor segments at a joint 32a. At least one of the joints of the conductor segments inserted on the innermost side of the slots includes a protrusion 32b on the inner peripheral side that protrudes radially inward from the other joints. At least one of the joints of the conductor segments inserted on the outermost side of the plurality of slots includes a protruding portion 32b on the outer peripheral side that protrudes radially outward from the other joints.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
