Abstract:
By measuring allele segregation distortion in an F2 group obtained by crossing Golden Promise and Haruna Nijo, the inventors of the present invention were the first in the world to identify the genomic region that is the basis for sensitivity to Agrobacterium-mediated transformation in barley. Using the existence of said genomic region as an index, the inventors discovered that it is possible to efficiently produce barley that is sensitive to Agrobacterium-mediated transformation.
