Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device and a taxi meter system capable of simplifying a change work of fee system information used for calculating a fee, and updating highly confidential fee system information properly while preventing a missed update of the fee system information.SOLUTION: In a connection box 30, an opening file df1 in which an opening code for shifting a tariff constant from a non-updatable sealed state to an updatable open state is set, and a tariff constant file df2 containing the tariff constant are stored. The connection box 30 transmits the opening file df1 to a taxi meter 10 when the current time is after a date of updating the opening file df1. The taxi meter 10 shifts from the sealed state to the open state when a received opening code matches a preset opening code, and then transmits opening information to the connection box 30. The connection box 30 transmits the tariff constant file df2 to the taxi meter 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
