Abstract:
The invention relates to a power conversion device and a diagnosis method of the power conversion device. To detect the reduction of the electrostatic capacity of a direct current smoothing capacitorof a power converter, the power converter is operated/stopped regularly. The electrostatic capacity is calculated according to the charging/discharging time of the smoothing capacitor, the problem offailure of detection of the deterioration state of the electrostatic capacity in a state of continuous operation of the power converter exists. In the power converter for converting power from AC to DC or from DC to AC, the power conversion device is formed by a plurality of power converters, the power converter individually comprises a smoothing capacitor, the power converter is connected with acommon direct current voltage portion and has a sensor for observing a current flowing into the direct current voltage portion connected with each power converter or a presumption function thereof, the current of the direct current voltage portion is analyzed to detect the deterioration state of the direct current smoothing capacitor carried on each power converter in a state of maintaining the operation of the power converter.
