Abstract:
Provided is a method for detecting early colon cancer using the level of a gene in the stool of a subject as an indicator, wherein the method for detecting early colon cancer is characterized in that the gene is at least one selected from the group consisting of the hippurate hydrolase gene, cyclohexadienyl dehydratase gene, butanol dehydrogenase gene, nucleobase:cation symporter-1 gene, and 3-hydroxy-5-phosphonooxypentane-2,4-dione thiolase gene.
