Abstract:
To simplify setting change of an AF picture-taking condition.SOLUTION: A camera is configured to: obtain a first presumption result about a category of a competition being implemented at a current data/time in a current location on the basis of information acquired from a server; and provisionally set an AF picture-taking condition suitable for the category of the competition; presume one or more candidates of a subject category by an image in a focus detection area provisionally selected on the basis of the provisionally set AF picture-taking condition to obtain a second presumption result; presume one or more candidates of the subject category by an image of a focus detection area of a periphery of the provisionally selected focus detection area when the first presumption result is not included in the second presumption result to obtain a third presumption result; officially set the AF picture-taking condition suitable for the competition category serving as the first presumption result when the first presumption result is included in one of the second presumption result and the third presumption result; and officially set an AF picture-taking condition suitable for other subject category different from the category of the competition of the second presumption result when the first presumption result is not included in any of the second presumption result and the third presumption result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
