Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the accumulation of a lead sulfate (sulfation) on a negative electrode plate in a lead storage battery.SOLUTION: A lead storage battery 1 comprises: a negative electrode plate 2; a positive electrode plate 3; and an electrolyte solution. The negative electrode plate 2 comprises a negative electrode material including a carbon material, and a conductivity improver (alkali metal or AsF5) taken in at least a part of the carbon material, provided that the carbon material includes a first carbon material having a particle diameter of 32 μm or more, and a second carbon material having a particle diameter less than 32 μm, the conductivity improver is taken in the first carbon material, and the ratio R2/R1 of a powder resistance R2 of the second carbon material to a powder resistance R1 of the first carbon material having taken the conductivity improver is 150 or more and 1200 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
