Abstract:
Provided is an information processing apparatus (10) enabling continuous operation of an MFP section (11) and a server section (12) even when a power supply unit of the server section (12) does not normally output power. A second detector (211c) detects a failure in a low-voltage power supply unit (211). When the failure has been detected in the low-voltage power supply unit (211), a DC power supply distribution circuit (112) supplies a part of output power from the low-voltage power supply unit (111) to the server section (12). A switch (214) switches supply of power from an outlet (72b) to the low-voltage power supply unit (211) to supply of power from the outlet (72b) to the MFP section (11). When input power from an outlet (71b) exceeds a rated value, a controller (103) performs control to switch a part of supply of power to a fixing heater included in the MFP section (11) to supply of power from the outlet (72b).
