Abstract:
To provide a reclining device that is able to smoothly lean a seat back forward.SOLUTION: One aspect of this disclosure is a reclining device for a vehicle seat. The reclining device comprises: an inner gear; an outer gear; and a swing force generation mechanism that generates swing force for swinging a back frame. The swing force generation mechanism comprises: at least one spiral spring one end of which is coupled to a first member of one of the back frame and a cushion frame; and a transmission member to which a second end of the spiral spring is coupled. The center axis of the spiral spring is disposed parallel to the swing center axis of the back frame. The transmission member transmits rotational force of the spiral spring to a second member of the other of the back frame and the cushion frame and is configured such that moment subjected to the back frame from the spiral spring is constant regardless of a point at which the inner gear and the outer gear are engaged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
