Abstract:
To provide a technique that can improve convenience of a user passing through a passage, and can prevent the number of users who can be controlled in passing through the passage per unit time from being reduced.SOLUTION: An automatic ticket examination machine 1 controls passage of users in a ticket examination passage formed between a first unit 1a and a second unit 1b by installing the first unit 1a and the second unit 1b in a mutually opposed manner. In the first unit 1a, a recess 100a extending in a direction along the passage is formed on a side surface of a ticket examination passage side opposite to the second unit 1b. A finger print reading unit 11a acquires an image of a hand of a user disposed in the recess 100a, and processes the image to extract finger print data to be used for authentication of the user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
