PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe type heat exchanger made of a metal.SOLUTION: A pipe type heat exchanger of the present invention is a metallic heat exchanger formed in an outer pipe with a plurality of torsion passages communicating in a longitudinal direction. Any of said torsion passages is formed, at a predetermined torsion angle helically in the longitudinal direction of said outer tube, with a texture having an inclination dependent upon said torsion angle in the tube wall of said outer tube in the longitudinal direction thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
