Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a pigment water dispersion which is excellent in adhesion, bending resistance and light resistance of a printed matter when being printed on a non water absorptive printing medium by being contained in aqueous ink, and aqueous ink containing the pigment water dispersion.SOLUTION: There are provided a method for producing a pigment water dispersion which includes: a step 1 of mixing and polymerizing a radical polymerizable monomer (a), a radical polymerization initiator (a) and an irreversible chain transfer agent to obtain an oligomer dispersion agent; a step 2 of mixing the oligomer dispersion agent obtained in the step 1 with water to obtain a pigment water dispersion; and a step 3 of mixing the pigment water dispersion obtained in the step 2 with a radical polymerizable monomer (b) to seed polymerize the mixed substance, and coating the pigment to obtain a pigment water dispersion; and aqueous ink containing the pigment water dispersion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
