Abstract:
To enable excellent open failure determination regardless of kind, configuration or the like of electric load.SOLUTION: A load drive circuit (1) includes a driver (13) and a determination unit(14). The driver includes an output terminal (132) electrically connected to an electric load (3), a control input terminal (133) to accept a control input signal for controlling on/off of the electric load, a power supply terminal (131) connected to a power supply (2), and a sense current terminal (134) for outputting a sense current which is a divided current from a main current flowing into the power supply terminal from the power supply, and is provided so as to apply an output voltage to an output terminal according to the control input signal inputted to the control input terminal. The determination unit is provided so as to determine whether an open failure, an electric load is not electrically connected to the output terminal, occurs or not by monitoring a terminal voltage of the sense current terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
