Abstract:
A phase information calculation unit (23) and an image reconfiguration unit (24) perform calculation processing, etc. on the basis of hologram data obtained by a microscopic observation unit (10) that is a holographic microscope, and create an IHM phase image that facilitates the observation of transparent cells. A region identification processing unit (26) identifies undifferentiated cell regions and undifferentiation deviation cell regions within the created IHM image using a developed classifier that has been trained with training data that uses, as feature regions, undifferentiated cell regions and undifferentiation deviation cell regions. On the basis of the region identification results, a region identification image creation unit (28) creates a region identification image by distinguishing the identified regions using prespecified different colors, and a display processing unit (29) displays, side by side on a display unit (40), an IHM phase image and a region identification image that are associated with the same observation region. As a result, even inexperienced or unskilled workers can efficiently check, etc., the state of cells being cultured.
