The present invention relates to a reactive polycarboxylic acid compound and a resin composition of the compound, which is an active energy ray-curable resin composition capable of imparting a cured film with excellent heat resistance and developability. An epoxy resin shown by the following formula (1), a carboxylic acid compound having both a polymerizable ethylene unsaturated group and a carboxyl group in one molecule, and a compound having both a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group in one molecule are enabled to react according to needs, thus obtaining a reactive epoxy carboxylic ester compound; the reactive epoxy carboxylic ester compound reacts with a polybasic acid anhydride represented by the following formula (2) or formula (3), thus obtaining the reactive polycarboxylic acid compound; in the formulas, n is an average value and represents a number from 0 to 10; P and R each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or an aryl group, and a plurality of P and R may be the same or different, and G represents glycidyl. In the formula (2), R1 independently represents a hydrogen atom, and an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and m represents an integer of 1 to 3.
