Abstract:
There are provided an endoscope and an endoscope system that can fix the position of an insertion part and allow an object to be observed to be measured with high accuracy. A balloon (19) is attachably and detachably mounted on an insertion part (12a) of an endoscope. A distal end part (12d) provided at a distal end of the insertion part (12a) includes an image pickup optical system (21), an illumination optical system (22), and a beam light-emitting unit (23). A subject is irradiated with measurement light by the beam light-emitting unit (23). It is possible to recognize the position of a spot from a subject image, and to measure an observation distance to an object to be observed, the size of the object to be observed, and the like.
