Abstract:
To provide a heavy-duty pneumatic tire having sufficient wet traction performance while maintaining a steering stability.SOLUTION: In an objective heavy-duty pneumatic tire, a side wall rubber includes a diene rubber including butadiene rubber (BR), and a carbon black whose nitrogen adsorption specific surface area is in a range of 60 to 100 m2/g. The compounding ratio of BR is 40 pts.mass or more in 100 pts.mass of the diene rubber, and that ratio of carbon black is 30 pts.mass or more based on 100 pts.mass of diene rubber. The hardness of a cap tread rubber is 55 or more, and a product of that hardness (CAP hardness) and 100% modulus (SIDE M100) of the side wall rubber satisfies the expression of 80≤(CAP hardness)×(SIDE M100)≤190. Besides, the thickness of the side wall rubber is in a range of 3 to 20 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
