To provide a pipe joint that can stably ensure high heat insulation performance, and to provide a drain piping structure for an air conditioning installation and a pipe joint manufacturing method.SOLUTION: An elbow type hollow pipe joint 100 includes: a bent pipe part 110 formed into a cylindrical shape; a first pipe end 120 and a second pipe end 130 connected to the bent pipe part 110; and a hollow layer 110T formed in the bent pipe part 110. The first pipe end 120 and the second pipe end 130 are formed to have thicknesses t120 and t130 that satisfy 0.04×t1≤t120 and t130<0.8×t1, where t1 represents a thickness of the bent pipe part 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
