Abstract:
To provide a steel plate production method capable of sufficiently reducing a load added to a rolling machine even when rolling a high-tensile steel plate and also capable of adequately preventing edge crack.SOLUTION: A steel plate production method includes a cold rolling process comprising a first cold rolling step carried out using a high-Young's modulus work roll having the Young's modulus in a surface layer part of 400 GPa or more, and a second cold rolling step carried out using a low-Young's modulus work roll having the Young's modulus in the surface layer part of less than 400 GPa. The ratio of a cumulative rolling reduction by the first cold rolling to a gross rolling reduction in the cold rolling process is more than 60.6% but less than 81.9%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
