Abstract:
In the present invention, a compound A that includes elemental Li, S, and M (M is phosphorous or the like) and a crystalline phase having an argyrodite crystal structure is prepared, the compound A and an electroconductive material are mixed together, and a composite material is thereby obtained in which the compound A and the electroconductive material are combined. The mixing is carried out such that, when the intensity of peak A observed at 2θ = 29.7° ± 1.00° in the XRD pattern of the compound A is noted as I0, and the intensity of peak B observed at 2θ = 29.7° ± 1.00° in the XRD pattern of the composite material is noted as It, the degree of amorphousness N derived from 100 × (I0 − It) / I0 is at least 97%. Preferably, the ratio of the number of atoms of elemental halogen (X) to the number of atoms of elemental phosphorous (P) included in the compound A is less than 1.0.
