Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent an increase in temperature of a connection part of a rotation part and a non-rotation part in a storage member that stores developer, and can prevent an increase in power consumption associated therewith.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus A comprises a supply container 1 that has a seal member 5 arranged inside a housing of the supply container 1 and provided at a connection part of a rotation part 2 and a flange part 4, and is formed with an air hole 4a1 on a top face of the housing of the supply container 1 at a position opposite to the seal member 5, in which in a state where the supply container 1 is attached to an attachment part 10a, an exit 10e1 of a duct part 10e and the air hole 4a1 of the supply container 1 are arranged at positions opposite to each other, and an air current generated by a fan 15 is sent to the seal member 5 through the duct part 10e and the air hole 4a1. The image forming apparatus comprises: an internal apparatus temperature sensor 68 that detects the temperature inside the image forming apparatus A; and a CPU 61 that predicts the temperature of the seal member 5 based on the temperature detected by the internal apparatus temperature sensor 68 and controls the drive of the fan 15 in accordance with the predicted temperature of the seal member 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
