Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0123274
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
A machine vice (1) consists of a jaw (2) and a support (3) as well as a movable jaw (5) and a revolving handle (6) to displace the movable jaw. A blade spring (8), a height of which is adjusted in accordance with the dimensions or which is cut exactly on its breath, is inserted between the two jaws (2 and 5) thus occupating with its plates the space intermediate between the jaws (2 and 5), so that a small pack of sheet metals to shape can be placed on the spring (8) and that the movable jaw (5) can move against the fixed jaw (2) by turning the handle (6). The blade spring disposed in the intermediate space is compressed and takes an corrugated form, so that both jaws (2 and 5) compress the pack of sheet metals (9). The pack can then, for instance, be cut or milled precisely. This means allows the production of single pieces as well as of limited series. It prevents thus the lack of safety during the fixing when the object to be machined is not in its exact position.
