PURPOSE:To regenerate an air filter effectively by ejecting air with high ejecting pressure from a nozzle to an air filter in an air-sucking chamber held at a negative pressure, and vibrating the air filter simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:An air filter 7 is carried into an air sucking chamber 24 held at a negative pressure from a carrying-in gate 26. The air filter 7 is vibrated by a vibrating device 18 provided with a vibrator 19, and the soot and dust sticking to the surface of the filter 7 and penetrating deeply into the inside of the filter are stripped off the fibrous structure of the filter. On one hand, dusts and soot are expelled by ejecting air with high ejecting pressure from nozzles 30, 30 onto the filter 7. The filter 7 is carried into the air-sucking chamber 24 and the surface of the filter is wiped with rotary brushes 28, 29. The soot and dust scattered into the air sucking chamber are collected through a hopper 23 into a duct 25, and are sucked by a dust collector. The cleaned filter 7 is carried out through a carrying out gate 27 to the outside of the air sucking chamber 24.
