Abstract:
The invention relates to an intermediary modular product for the fabrication of an alveolar material. Said product is comprised of a sheet of balls (17) of substantially equal diameters, geometrically arranged according to a planar single layer arrangement of the crystallographic type. The balls, each in contact with four or six adjacent balls, are interconnected at the vicinity of their contact zones by meniscus (18) formed by a flexible binder adhering to the balls so as to impart to the sheet both an assembly cohesion and a deformable character. In order to make an alveolar material, the modular products are superposed on a form so as to bring in contact the balls of adjacent sheets according to a volume arrangement of the crystallographic type. The balls are then definitely fixed to each other.
