Abstract:
PURPOSE:To linearly communicate a fluid passage and reduce a pressure loss by providing a rotary valve body in the valve operating cylinder of a female coupler so that a rotation symmetric shaft is made perpendicular to the axial direction of the valve operating cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A rotary valve body 11 is provided in a valve operating cylinder 12 so that a rotation symmetric shaft is made perpendicular to the axial direction of the valve operating cylinder 12. The valve operating cylinder 12 is coupled with the rotary valve body 11 via a groove mechanism converting the motion of the valve operating cylinder 12 reciprocated in response to the fitting or removal of a male coupler into the rotating motion of the rotary valve body 11. When the male coupler is inserted, the through hole of the rotary valve body 11 is rotated to the position communicated to the fluid passage of a female coupler. When the male coupler is removed, the through hole of the rotary valve body 11 is rotated to the position to cut off the fluid passage of the female coupler. As a result, the flow can be increased with the same coupler size, and it can be preferably utilized for a fluid with high viscosity in particular.
