Abstract:
The compressed gas, before entering the splicing chamber, receives a metered quantity of a suspension which contains a substance improving the textile properties and cohesion of the fibres, the mutual adhesion of the fibres and the strength of the yarn and preventing the fibres from sticking together and a substance having a lubricating and corrosion-preventing effect on machine parts. Such a suspension consists, for example, of siliceous hydrosol, oil and water. A metering device inserted into the gas-flow channel is advantageously used for this. The object is to achieve an increase in the quality of a spliced joint and a broadening of the range of use of a compressed-gas splicing device.
