Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely eliminate the yarn-hooking step for each undrawn package so that the pruductivity may be enhanced, by forming a spliced yarn therein with slight entangled sections and heat stretched sections in combination. CONSTITUTION:Yarns Y1, Y2 to be spliced together are set respectively on pins 11a, 11a' of yarn gripping receivers 11, 11' and are gripped by press-rods 12a, 12b. Thereafter, they are made into contact with a heating and drawing device 20 to be heated and drawn into a loosed condition. Then, the yarns under tension by a tension rod 30 are gripped between one side surface of an air jet member 60 and a crank pin 41 of a second gripping member 40, and therefore are loosed within a yarn reservoir section in the air jet member 60 due to the motion of the crank pin 41 so that they are opened by an air stream to be entangled together into one continuously spliced yarn. No abnormality is found in the quality of a winding-shrink processed yarn in the vicinity of spliced sections. As a result, a yarn hooking process for each undrawn package may be surely eliminated.
